Beware!

Our kids are getting sick, just in time for grandma and granpa to visit. Sean had a 102 fever Friday and Saturday. He missed the long anticipated nation celebration, so I have no cute pictures of him in lederhosen. Maggie wandered into my bedroom this morning at 4 a.m. with 102.8 fever. Glen won the toss and will be staying home with her today. I'll be with her tomorrow. Hopefully Max doesn't catch this bug and everyone will be well by Friday so we don't infect my parents. Yipes!

Busy busy busy!

We went to the Chinese Cultural Center over the weekend. (Well, Maggie insisted she didn't want to go because we were also stopping at Costco, so we let her hang out with Grandma. They sewed a doll and stuffed it with rice and beans) Sean had fun looking at the fish and we bought some jasmine tea.

Maggie has recently enrolled in a ceramics class and is immensely enjoying it. She always comes home with clay on her face.

We have a busy next few days. Maggie's first soccer practice, Nation celebration at her school, and a birthday party over the weekend. We will be dressing up as Germans for Nation Celebration, but bringing Norwegian food. Check back for pictures of the boys in lederhosen!! Ha!

Payson

Well, the kids were driving us crazy this weekend, so Glen thought we needed to get out of the house. Boy was he right! We drove up to Payson (60-80 minutes away) where the weather was significantly cooler, brought a picnic and played at the city park for several hours before coming home. Maggie was having loads of fun on the swings so Sean really wanted to try them. But as you can tell in the video, he wasn't too sure about the whole swinging thing.

Max tried the swings too. This little road trip was his first time out of the Phoenix area.

Glen happy to hit the road. (Also happy that all three kids are asleep!)

Labor Day

Here are what would be cute pictures if I had a decent camera. If you have noticed the quality of my photos have gone down since February, its because our house was broken into and one of the things they took was my camera. :( Need to get a better one before the kids are grown!

And finally, my first attempt at crocheting a sweater. It came out way too big through the shoulders. In my defense though, the pattern was pretty vague and thus hard for a beginner to follow. But Sean seemed to like it. Now we have a reason to go up north to the snow this winter. If nothing else, then to give the sweater a test run.

No Star Party Tonight.

Its cloudy here. Maggie was disappointed. She wanted to come to the Xavier star party with me. At least we had a nice drive out there and back. Max slept the whole time. We will try to reschedule in a few weeks.

In the mean time, I've got lots of laundry to do. I volunteered to take home a bag of laundry from Sean's daycare room every Friday. And I figured I would do Junior Elementay A's laundry too (Maggie's room). Its mostly dishcloths from the kids cleaning up at lunch and snack. But its 2 extra loads a week. Between this and 3 kids, wet sheets, toothpaste covered towels, 2 kids in cloth diapers and of course the everyday laundry, the washer and dryer is pretty much running nonstop all weekends long these days. Its not such a bad chore. I like it better than doing dishes, which Glen has taken over these days.

Now for a few pictures. Maggie's hair is always so frazzeled in the pictures. I guess thats because I mosly take them on the weekends when I have a little more time. We just let Maggie's hair roam free on the weekends.
